GM Tiles

A Karachi tile showroom re-sequenced and re-lit so the product reads the way it will in a customer's own home.

A tile showroom lives or dies on how its product looks under light. GM Tiles came to us with the stock and the floor space; what was missing was a reason to walk further in than the front door.

What we changed

Retail interiors are a lighting problem before they are a design problem. We rebuilt the display sequence so customers move through the space rather than scanning it from the entrance, and lit each run so surface, texture and colour read the way they will in a client’s own home.

Bamboo and planting soften what is otherwise a hard, reflective environment — the contrast is what makes the tile look good.
